Ikazuchi Dojo doesn't offer a children's program, but we do accept teens with a sincere desire to learn the art and the dedication to make it happen. Trevor is one such teen. This video shows his 3rd kyu test which we consider to be well executed. While there are some form and technical details that need polishing, his focus, timing, and composure are all excellent for this level. In addition to the core test requirements, Trevor successfully fulfills a range of unexpected requests, including an ukemi run with Wes Watkins.
Jason Ramsay did an excellent job preparing Trevor for this test. He invested many hours in Trevor’s development and focused on bringing out his natural athleticism, which we consider to be a priority for a practitioner of this age and skill level.
